Morgenkrieken.

The title 'Morgenkrieken' comes from a song that my mother used to sing when I was a little girl:

"Egg , tomorrow sees the crack,

holdriejeé , holdiejo ,

He ascends on golden wings .... etc “

As a child I always thought it was about a bird, because of the "egg" and "wings".

Only much later did I understand that "Morgenkrieken" means the daybreak. In this tapestry I wanted to express both, the bird as well as the sunrise.
