At the end of my learning period with Iet Meurer in Haarlem I did a study on weaving faces.

In the 'golden days of weaving Gobelins', weavers who were able to weave faces were the ones who earned the best wages.

Of course this wasn't my reason why I choose to do a study on this item.

In a time where everything has to be 'fast & finished', you shouldn't think about making money out of weaving Gobelins at all. …..

So many differences and yet a unity.
